Looking back to understand how far we’ve come

At the end of 2025, we reached a special milestone: Genially turned ten.

Ten years is a long time in the world of technology and startups — but it’s also the perfect reminder of why we started in the first place.

Genially was born from a simple question:
If technology allows us to explore the world in interactive ways, why are we still communicating with static tools?

Back then, interactive creation was reserved for specialists.
Designers. Developers. Experts.

But what about everyone else?
Educators who wanted to energize their classes, trainers looking for more engagement, students eager to express themselves, or teams searching for clarity and creativity.

We believed interactivity shouldn’t be limited to only a few.
We believed creativity shouldn’t have barriers.
We believed ideas should be experienced — not just consumed.

From that belief, a mission was born:
to empower anyone, anywhere, to create interactive content that helps people discover and explore information.

What started as the vision of a small team has become a platform used by millions of people around the world. Today, more than 140 people build Genially every day, inspired by the same values that shaped the project from the beginning: curiosity, creativity, accessibility, and the belief that anyone can create something extraordinary.

Over these ten years, we’ve seen Genially used in many different ways:
